On Wednesday KS2 children enjoyed a virtual visit from author Sarah Ann Jukes. She read an extract from her new novel, The Night Animals and discussed how she became an author, where she gets her inspiration from and gave tips to budding writers.
The book includes ghost animals that help Nora, the main character, find the strength to confront her worries and help her and her family. Charlize in Y6 said ‘I really liked listening to her read her own work, it has given me lots of ideas.’
After the session the children created their own ghost animals that they could use within a story. We can't wait to read your stories with all your newly found top tips.
